PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
The material to be sorted is fed with a vibratory conveyor or belt conveyor (depending on the sorter type). The multi-segment metal detection coil immediately detects and determines location of an undesired metal contaminant. The signal is processed by the controller equipped with data evaluation electronics that activates the suitable nozzle of the integrated ejection system. As a result a contaminant is removed with very little loss of good material from the material flow. The metal separation sensitivity depends on the sorter type and material type to be processed. In optimal working conditions, it is possible to separate a 0.8 mm diameter Fe ball.
