APPLICATION PROFILE

The RZ detector is characterised by the round transport tunnel of closed (inseparable) design and similar to the GLS detector it has the highest sensitivity throughout the entire tunnel area. The machine detects ferrous and non-ferrous metals, in particular carbon steel, acid resistant steel, aluminium, copper, lead etc.  Because of high effectiveness of metal detection, the machines are used wherever a customer needs a high quality end product e.g. in food industry. This type of the detector is designed for inspection of bulk products, fibres or pastes transported gravitationally, pneumatically or pumped under pressure in pipeline systems. Depending on the version, the detector may be installed vertically or horizontally. The RZ metal detector including pneumatic ejector (RAPID system) is designed for automatic separation of metal from a product.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

Metal detection results in generation of the output signal that may be used to:

• Emergency stop the production process and switch on the light signal informing about metal presence in the raw material
• Start separation mechanism (e.g. pneumatic ejector in the RAPID system)
• Report on quantity of the metals detected
